We're all about premium basics. Our superior craftsmanship, exceptional USA-made quality and commitment to sustainability established us as the go to apparel company at wholesale & retail.
At BELLA+CANVAS, we're all about providing a place where the entrepreneurial spirit thrives. It's a collaborative environment where everyone has a voice, and great ideas can come from anyone. We seek to ignite the BE DIFFERENT mentality throughout each department, and encourage eco-conscious practices through our recycling program and electric car charging stations. We advocate a healthy body and mind through our daily yoga classes.
WHAT WE'RE KNOWN FOR
AIRLUME COMBED & RING-SPUN COTTON. NO C.O.E.
We have been preaching the combed and ring spun message since day one, back when all the other guys were using carded open end. We have been true to our core belief that quality garments start at the thread level, which is exactly where we start our design process. Our signature Airlume Combed and Ring-Spun Cotton is engineered to create the softest, smoothest tee you’ve ever felt.
THE AIRLUME DIFFERENCE?
Clean Cotton: We comb out 2.5x more impurities than standard ring spun cotton
Long Staple Cotton: This makes for less stray fibers and a tight-knit fabric
Eco-Dyed: Our fabric is dyed using 7x less water and eco-friendly dyes
STOP TUBULAR PRODUCTION
Our bodies aren't tubes, so why does tubular manufacturing still exist? Constructing garments this way is cheaper, but tubular T-Shirts are ill-fitting and unflattering. Side-Seamed tees are the only tees we make tees because to us, fit is everything.
We go to unheard of lengths to perfect the fit of every garment in every size. Rather than doing generic size grading, we cross-reference every body type, every height, and every weight to ensure our fit reaches the largest audience possible - and at the same time, never once do we ignore the nature of tailoring or contouring.
LARGEST DYER & CUTTER OF APPAREL IN THE US
We dye and cut more garments in the United States than any other clothing manufacturer. And it's all done right here in Los Angeles!
CREATING AMERICAN JOBS
American made is something we believe in deeply. As one of the biggest clothing manufacturers in America, we provide well over 1,000 jobs right here in Los Angeles. We are always pushing the envelope to add more volume and just recently doubled the size of both our cutting and fulfillment facilities, adding even more jobs!
NO SWEATSHOPS/PLATINUM WRAP CERTIFICATION
Doing things the right way has never been up for debate. We have been manufacturing in the U.S. and internationally in a no-sweat-shop, humane, sustainable way since day one. Our Platinum W.R.A.P. certification is just a small indication of how hard we work to make our sewing and cutting floors pleasant, productive, comfortable places to be.
What Principles Does the WRAP Certification Include?
--Human resources management
--Health and safety standards
--Environmental and eco-friendly practices
--Legal compliance including import/export, customs compliance and security standards
FAIR LABOR ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATING COMPANY
BELLA+CANVAS is a Participating Company of the Fair Labor Association and has committed to upholding the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout its entire supply chain.
By using newer, more efficient dye machines, we use 7x less water than the average for clothing manufacturers, saving 24 million gallons a week. Any water we do use goes through a filtration system that allows it to be recycled.
We are a green company through and through - taking every opportunity we can to reduce our co2 emissions. If you take a quick tour around our headquarters you'll find we use solar energy to power our sewing and cutting facilities, motion-sensor LED lighting and skylights throughout each building, and electric car charging stations to encourage employees to go green.
VIRTUALLY ZERO WASTE
Our manufacturing facilities and LA Headquarters produce almost no landfill because we recycle pretty much everything that can't be turned into a tee. We've optimized our cutting to reduce plastic use, and excess fabric is recycled into a number of things like baby bibs or stuffing for upholstery. Let nothing go to waste!
WE'VE REENGINEERED FABRIC AND COLOR DEVELOPMENT
We are constantly looking for ways to develop never-been-seen-before fabrics and colors. Over the past decade, we introduced the industry to Flowy Poly-Viscose, debuted the only 40 single triblend, brought Black Heather to the market, and most recently, created the groundbreaking Prism Collection. And we aren't stopping there. We promise to always be creating the next best thing.
WE'VE REVOLUTIONIZED THE WAY PRODUCT IS DESIGNED AND RELEASED
We introduced Fast Fashion, bringing the fashion-on-demand model to wholesale, an industry that previously only saw annual releases of new product offerings. By coming out with a new style every month, we offer customers the most on-trend styles of the moment at wholesale prices - something that's never been done in our industry before now.
